# Can NovaHDR fix blown-out windows?

Only when the detail is in your photo. Editing cannot recover a completely white window, so send the best available source image for each view. Capture the view if it matters.

If the view through the window matters, give the edit real detail to balance against the room, for example a bracketed merge or a frame exposed for the window. NovaHDR does not add window detail: what the window shows is what the camera saw.
