# NovaHDR questions, answered

Short, direct answers for real estate photographers about NovaHDR: what it changes in a property set and what it leaves alone, which photos to send and how to prepare brackets and RAW files, when the 24 to 72 hours start, how One Property, plans and credits work, and who owns the photos. Each answer links to the page with the details.

## About NovaHDR

- [What is NovaHDR?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/what-is-novahdr/): NovaHDR is property photo editing for real estate photographers: send a property's photos, get back a finished set with balanced exposure and consistent color.
- [Who is NovaHDR for?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/who-is-novahdr-for/): NovaHDR is for real estate photographers who want the last exposure and color pass on a property shoot finished, without making every correction themselves.
- [What does NovaHDR change in my photos?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/what-does-novahdr-change-in-my-photos/): NovaHDR changes exposure and color: it balances the light in each photo and brings color into line from room to room, so the property reads as one set.
- [Does NovaHDR offer virtual staging?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/does-novahdr-offer-virtual-staging/): No. NovaHDR edits exposure and color in property photos. It is not virtual staging or room redesign, and it does not add furniture, rooms or other objects.
- [Will my photos still look natural after editing?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/will-my-photos-still-look-natural/): Yes, that is the aim: bright enough to understand the space and restrained enough to keep its character, without the overcooked look of heavy HDR.
- [Does NovaHDR edit each photo separately or as a set?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/does-novahdr-edit-each-photo-separately-or-as-a-set/): As a set. NovaHDR finishes the property as a whole, so a warm kitchen and a cool bedroom stop looking like two shoots and color holds from room to room.
- [Is it ethical to edit real estate photos?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/is-it-ethical-to-edit-real-estate-photos/): Yes, when the edit changes how a property is seen, not what it is: balancing exposure and color is presentation; adding features or hiding defects is not.
- [Should I outsource real estate photo editing?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/should-i-outsource-real-estate-photo-editing/): Outsource it when the last exposure and color pass keeps you from the next shoot, and keep it in house when you enjoy that work or want control of every frame.

## Sending your photos

- [What files can I send to NovaHDR?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/what-files-can-i-send-to-novahdr/): Send JPEG, PNG or WebP photos, up to 50 per property, with a limit of 50 MiB for each photo and 2 GiB per property in total.
- [How many photos can I send per property?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/how-many-photos-can-i-send-per-property/): Up to 50 photos per property. One property uses one credit, whether you buy One Property or use a credit from a monthly plan, and every plan has the same limit.
- [What is the file size limit for each photo?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/what-is-the-file-size-limit/): Each photo can be up to 50 MiB, and one property can total up to 2 GiB across all of its photos. The property limit is up to 50 photos.
- [Can I send RAW or TIFF files to NovaHDR?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/can-i-send-raw-or-tiff-files/): No. NovaHDR accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP photos only; RAW and TIFF files are not accepted. Export your images from your RAW editor first, one per view.
- [Do I need to merge my brackets before sending?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/do-i-need-to-merge-brackets-first/): Yes. NovaHDR does not merge brackets or accept bracket sets, so merge your exposures in your usual software and send one finished image per view.
- [Can NovaHDR work with single exposures?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/can-novahdr-work-with-single-exposures/): Yes. NovaHDR works from single exposures as well as from merged bracket exports: send the best available image for each view and it finishes the set.
- [Can NovaHDR fix blown-out windows?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/can-novahdr-fix-blown-out-windows/): Only when the detail is in your photo. Editing cannot recover a completely white window, so send the best available source image for each view.

## Turnaround and workflow

- [How do I send a property to NovaHDR?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/how-do-i-send-a-property-for-editing/): Sign up, name the property, upload up to 50 photos, choose One Property or a plan (or use a credit you have), then send the property for editing.
- [How long does NovaHDR take to edit a property?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/how-long-does-novahdr-take/): Finished photos are delivered 24 to 72 hours after you send the property for editing. The clock starts when you send it, not when you sign up, upload or pay.
- [Does uploading or paying start the editing?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/does-uploading-or-paying-start-the-editing/): No. Signing up, uploading or paying does not submit the job. Editing starts when you send the property, and the 24 to 72 hours run from that moment.
- [Can I upload photos now and send the property later?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/can-i-upload-now-and-send-later/): Yes. Uploaded photos are saved in the property, so you can come back, add the rest of the shoot and send it for editing when the set is ready.
- [Do I review the photos before my client sees them?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/do-i-review-the-photos-before-my-client-sees-them/): Yes. The finished set comes back for your final review, and you decide when it goes to your client; listing professionals remain responsible for image accuracy.
- [How do I contact NovaHDR about a property?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-novahdr/): Email support@novahdr.com with your question about a property or your account. Keep your original photographs while you wait for an answer.
- [How do I sign up for NovaHDR?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/how-do-i-sign-up-for-novahdr/): Sign up at app.novahdr.com with Google or with email. Then name your first property and upload its photos; you choose One Property or a plan before sending.

## Pricing and credits

- [How much does NovaHDR cost?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/how-much-does-novahdr-cost/): One Property is a one-time purchase for a single property of up to 50 photos, and Solo, Pro and Studio are monthly plans whose property credits roll over.
- [Can I use NovaHDR without a subscription?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/can-i-use-novahdr-without-a-subscription/): Yes. One Property is a one-time purchase for a single property of up to 50 photos, so you can edit one shoot without a monthly plan. It never expires.
- [What is a property credit?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/what-is-a-property-credit/): A property credit pays for one property of up to 50 photos. One Property buys one; monthly plans add credits every paid month. Sending a property uses one.
- [Do unused NovaHDR credits roll over?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/do-unused-credits-roll-over/): Yes. Unused monthly property credits roll over, up to a cap that depends on your plan, and purchased One Property credits never expire.
- [Which NovaHDR plan should I choose?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/which-novahdr-plan-should-i-choose/): Choose by how many properties you shoot each month: One Property for an occasional shoot, then Solo with 5 credits a month, Pro with 15 or Studio with 40.
- [How do I cancel a NovaHDR subscription?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/how-do-i-cancel-a-novahdr-subscription/): Contact support@novahdr.com for cancellation assistance. Cancellation stops future renewals, and the billing period you already paid for still applies.
- [Do One Property credits expire?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/do-one-property-credits-expire/): No. Purchased One Property credits never expire, so you can buy one now and use it on a later shoot. Subscription credits are used before purchased ones.

## Your photos and accuracy

- [Do I keep ownership of the photos I send?](https://www.novahdr.com/faq/do-i-keep-ownership-of-my-photos/): Yes. You keep ownership of the photos you submit to NovaHDR. Only upload photos you have permission to use, and keep your own source copies of every shoot.
