DJI AIR 3

DJI Air 3 real estate photos with a wide and a 3x camera

The DJI Air 3, released in 2023, is the step up many listing pilots take from a Mini: it is heavier and steadier in wind, flies longer per battery and carries two cameras, a wide and a 3x medium telephoto. The 3x camera lets you compress a house against mountains, water or a skyline from a distance, a framing a Mini cannot match. The Air 3S, its 2024 update, moved the wide camera to a larger 1-inch type sensor. NovaHDR treats Air 3 and Air 3S exports as ordinary JPEG, PNG or WebP photos, finished with the rest of the property for balanced exposure and consistent color.

Air 3 aerials keep their sky, lawn and roof as photographed; NovaHDR has no aerial or drone profile.

One property covers up to 50 photos.

Air 3 habits for listing aerials

The Air 3's second camera and extra stability open up a few listing shots.

Use the 3x camera for context

From farther out, the 3x camera stacks the house against a lake, a ridge line or a downtown skyline without flying over neighbors.

Match white balance between cameras

Set the same fixed white balance on both cameras so wide and 3x frames start matched.

AEB is more reliable in wind

The heavier airframe holds position better, so AEB bursts line up more often than on a Mini.

Plan longer missions

Longer flight time per battery lets you cover large lots, ranches and waterfront homes in one flight.

Respect the heavier class

The Air 3 falls outside the lightest rule category in most countries; check registration and licensing for your area.

Keep the 3x frames level

Long-lens aerials magnify a tilted horizon. Level the gimbal before each 3x frame, and keep the house off the extreme edge where it looks crowded.

What does finishing DJI Air 3 real estate photos mean?

Finishing Air 3 real estate photos means your exported aerials from either camera are uploaded with the ground-level photos and finished as one property, with balanced exposure and consistent color. The aerial view, the framing you chose with the wide or 3x camera, the sky and the grounds all stay as photographed, and the final review before delivery stays with you.

It is not sky replacement, lawn work, DNG conversion or AEB blending.

DJI Air 3 real estate questions

Is the DJI Air 3 good for real estate photography?

Yes. Its steadiness in wind and the 3x camera make it a strong listing drone, especially for large lots and scenic settings.

Air 3 or Air 3S for real estate?

The Air 3S adds a larger wide sensor for more detail and latitude; the Air 3 remains a capable, cheaper option.

Air 3 or Mini 4 Pro for listings?

The Mini is lighter and simpler for rules; the Air is steadier in wind and adds the 3x camera.

Can I upload Air 3 DNG files?

No. Export Air 3 frames as JPEG, PNG or WebP after editing.

Will finishing change the sky in my Air 3 aerials?

No. The Air 3 sky stays as photographed, along with the lawn, the water and the roof; plan flights for the weather you want buyers to see.

What does a property with Air 3 aerials cost?

Air 3 aerials plus ground photos, up to 50, are one property: $29 one-time for one property.
