NEW CONSTRUCTION PHOTOS

New construction photos with clean whites and honest finishes

New construction looks easy and finishes hard. Freshly painted white walls show every color cast, windows often have no coverings so daylight pours straight in, and new LED fixtures come in a mix of color temperatures chosen by different trades. Many new builds are photographed empty, which leaves nothing to break up the bounce of light between bare walls. NovaHDR finishes the home as a set with balanced exposure and consistent color, so the white in the kitchen matches the white in the bedrooms and the flooring reads the same color throughout.

The build is shown as it stands: unfinished landscaping, missing fixtures or bare rooms are not filled in.

One property covers up to 50 photos.

How to send a new build for finishing

  1. 01

Export the rooms and the elevations

Pick the front elevation, the main living spaces, kitchen, bedrooms, baths and any upgrade features the builder wants shown. Export one JPEG, PNG or WebP per view; bracket shooters blend first in their own software.

  2. 02

Upload the home as one property

Name the property after the lot, plan or address and upload up to 50 photos. For a builder, keeping each home in its own property keeps each set consistent.

  3. 03

    Send and approve

Pick One Property or a plan credit and send the property for editing. The finished set is ready 24 to 72 hours after you send the property, for your review before the builder or agent gets it.

Capture notes for new builds

New construction is usually shot as soon as the home is ready to show. These habits help when the rooms are bright, white and empty.

Wait for the cleaners

Dust, tape and stickers on windows and appliances stay in the frame. Shoot after the final clean.

Check every bulb

New homes often have a mix of 2700K and 4000K bulbs from different trades, or a few missing. Swap or match them where you can before you shoot.

Use the window coverings you have

If blinds are installed, set them all the same way. Without coverings, shoot at a time when direct sun is not hitting the floor in hard patches.

Show the upgrades

Builders often want the upgraded counters, flooring and fixtures featured. Give each a clean detail frame alongside the wide views.

Shoot the exterior when the site is tidy

Dumpsters, portable toilets and pallets in front of the home stay in the photo. Ask for them to be moved or frame around them.

Mind unfinished landscaping

Bare soil and straw read honestly; nothing is greened or planted later, so shoot from the angle that shows the house best.

What makes new construction photos hard to finish

Bright white walls

Fresh white or light grey paint picks up casts from daylight, bulbs and nearby flooring more visibly than any other surface.

Bare windows

Homes shown before blinds are installed take in direct sun, which creates hard bright patches on new floors.

Mixed new fixtures

Recessed lights, pendants and vanity fittings from different suppliers often differ in color temperature.

Empty rooms

Unfurnished rooms bounce light between bare surfaces, which spreads any cast across the whole room.

One set for the home

NovaHDR finishes the property as a set with balanced exposure and consistent color, so whites and flooring read the same from room to room.

Nothing filled in

Finishing is exposure and color only. Furniture, landscaping and missing fittings are not added.

What does finishing new construction photos mean?

Finishing new construction photos is the final exposure and color pass on a newly built home: keeping white walls clean and neutral, taming the direct sun that comes through bare windows and making new flooring and finishes look the same color in every room. NovaHDR does that pass on the whole property and returns it for your final review.

It is not a rendering of the finished home. Furniture, landscaping, window coverings and missing fixtures are not added.

New construction photo questions

Will an empty new build be furnished?

No. NovaHDR does not do virtual staging. The rooms are finished for exposure and color as photographed.

Will the bare front yard be turned into a lawn?

No. The landscaping stays as it is in the photo. Shoot from the angle that shows the house best.

Why do my white walls look different in each room?

Different bulbs, window directions and floor colors tint white paint. Finishing the home as a set balances that color from room to room.

Can a builder send several homes at once?

Each home is its own property, with up to 50 photos. Builders with steady volume often use a monthly plan for credits.

Do new build shoots need bracketing?

No. NovaHDR works from single exposures and from merged bracket exports, as long as each view is one JPEG, PNG or WebP.

What does a new build set cost?

For builders and photographers with steady volume, Studio is $399 per month, 40 property credits, one credit per home.
