STAGED HOMES

Staged home photography: show the styling, keep the color true

Home staging prepares a house to look its best for buyers, with furniture, rugs, art and lamps chosen to show scale and lifestyle. That styling only pays off if the photos show it accurately: cushion colors, wood tones and a calm, neutral palette need to look the same in the gallery as in person. NovaHDR finishes the staged property as a set with balanced exposure and consistent color from room to room, with a natural look that respects the stager's choices. The finishing works on light and color only; it does not move, add or replace any staging piece.

The staging you photographed is the staging buyers see: nothing is rearranged or added.

One property covers up to 50 photos.

Sending a staged property

  1. 01

Shoot the staging as designed, then export

Follow the stager's intended angles where possible, merge any brackets in your own software, and export one JPEG, PNG or WebP per view.

  2. 02

    Upload the styled rooms together

Add the full property, up to 50 photos, so the stager's palette reads the same from the living room through to the bedrooms.

  3. 03

Send the property and check the palette

Use One Property or a credit from your plan and send the property for editing. When the finished set arrives, 24 to 72 hours after you send the property, compare cushion and rug colors to your on-site notes.

Capture habits for staged homes

Stagers and photographers work best together. These habits keep the staging looking the way it was meant to.

Ask the stager about hero angles

Staging is often arranged for specific views. Shooting those angles first gets the strongest frames.

Fluff, smooth and square

Smooth the bedding, fluff the pillows and square the rugs on site, because the fabric and furniture in the frame are finished exactly as the camera saw them.

Turn on the staged lamps

Lamps are part of the styling. Switch them on for warmth, and keep the choice the same across the room's angles.

Watch for staging tags and clips

Price tags, rental stickers and clips holding fabric show up in close views. Check before you shoot.

Keep the palette honest

Avoid white balance swings that turn a sage sofa gray or a cream throw yellow.

Shoot details for the gallery

A styled vignette, such as a set table or a reading corner, adds variety and shows the lifestyle the staging suggests.

What staged homes ask of the photos

Staging is designed for the camera

Stagers often place furniture to work from the doorway and the main photo angles.

Neutral palettes reveal tints

Soft grays, creams and whites show any color shift from room to room.

Accessories add mixed light

Staged lamps and candles add warm sources to rooms lit by daylight.

Scale is the point

Furniture shows buyers what fits, so wide views matter more than details.

Finished for consistent color

NovaHDR finishes the property as a set, so the staging palette keeps a consistent color from one room to the next.

No virtual staging

The work is exposure and color with a natural look; nothing is added, moved or replaced.

What is staged home photography?

Staged home photography is photographing a property after it has been furnished and styled to sell, so buyers see the rooms at their most appealing and understand how the space can be used. It focuses on the stager's chosen angles, accurate color and good scale. NovaHDR finishes the exported set for balanced exposure and consistent color, without changing the staging.

It is not virtual staging. All furniture and decor in the photos was physically in the room.

Staged home questions

Does NovaHDR add staging to photos?

No. It does no virtual staging; it finishes real staged rooms for exposure and color.

Will the stager's colors look the same in the finished photos?

The property is finished as a set with consistent color and a natural look, so the palette is kept as true as the source allows.

Can a wrinkled bedspread be smoothed in the finished photo?

No. Objects and fabric stay as photographed, so smooth bedding on site.

Should staged lamps be on or off?

Usually on, for warmth. Keep the same choice for every angle of the room.

Can I upload a staged house that I also shot before staging?

Yes, as long as the property stays at 50 photos or fewer. Each upload is finished as photographed.

What does the Solo plan cost for a stager-photographer team?

The Solo plan is $79 per month, 5 property credits, with one credit per property.
