GARAGE PHOTOS
Garage photos with an even floor and a clean, neutral look
A garage is a big grey box, and that is the problem. Concrete floors and plain walls show any tint from the lighting, which is often cool fluorescent tubes or LED shop lights very different from the house, and an open garage door turns one end of the frame into a bright rectangle of daylight. Storage shelving, tools and a parked car add dark shapes. NovaHDR finishes the garage with the rest of the property, so the floor and walls read neutral, the space looks as large as it is and the color stays consistent with the exteriors and interiors.
Cars, shelving and anything stored stay as photographed; the finish is exposure and color only.
One property covers up to 50 photos.

How to send a garage
- 01
Export the inside and outside views
Most listings show the garage from the outside with the door closed or open, plus one interior frame from the door into the house. Export each as JPEG, PNG or WebP, with any brackets merged first in your software.
- 02
Upload with the exteriors and mudroom
Name the property and add the garage to the full upload, up to 50 photos. The interior shares lighting with the laundry or mudroom, and the outside view sits with the front exterior photos.
- 03
Send and review the set
Choose One Property or a credit and send the property. Finished photos arrive 24 to 72 hours after you send the property, for your review before delivery.
Garage capture notes
A tidy, well lit garage helps buyers picture their own cars and storage. These habits help.
Move the cars out
An empty bay shows the size of the space and the condition of the floor. If a car must stay, park it straight and centered.
Turn on every shop light
Garages need all the light they can get. Switch on every fixture, and note if one tube is a different color.
Decide on the door
With the big door open, daylight floods in but the opening glows. With it closed, the room is darker but even. Choose one and keep it for all garage views.
Sweep the floor
Leaves, oil stains and debris on bare concrete stay in the finished photo.
Shoot from a corner
A corner view shows two walls of storage and the depth of the bays better than a straight on frame.
Show the extras
Workbenches, a charging point, a loft or built in storage are selling points; include them.
What makes garages hard to photograph
Cool shop lighting
Fluorescent tubes and LED shop lights are often much cooler than household bulbs, tinting the concrete blue or green.
A huge bright opening
An open garage door puts a wall sized block of daylight into the frame.
Neutral surfaces show tints
Grey concrete and plain drywall have no color of their own, so any cast is easy to see.
Dark storage and vehicles
Shelving, tools and parked cars create large dark shapes against the light walls.
Finished with the rest of the property
NovaHDR finishes the property as a set, so the garage fits between the exteriors and the mudroom.
Nothing tidied
The finishing is exposure and color; oil stains, tools and boxes in the frame stay there.
Garage features and what to check
| Feature | Common exposure or color problem | What to check on site |
|---|---|---|
| Concrete floor | Blue or green tint, stains | Floor swept, all lights on |
| Open garage door | Bright block of daylight | Same door choice in every garage view |
| Shop lights | Cool tint, one odd tube | Note any fixture of a different color |
| Storage and workbench | Dark, busy shapes | Surfaces cleared, shelves tidy |
| Exterior garage view | Door color differs from the house trim | Garage and front exterior in the same upload |
What does finishing garage photos mean?
Finishing garage photos is the exposure and color pass that takes the tint out of concrete and drywall, balances a bright open door against the room and keeps the garage in line with the exteriors and the house. NovaHDR finishes the garage alongside every other photo in the property, for your final review.
It is not cleanup: oil stains, cars and stored items are not removed, and the floor is not resurfaced.
Garage photo questions
Why does my garage look blue or green in photos?
Shop lights and fluorescent tubes are cooler than household bulbs, and grey concrete shows the tint. Finishing balances the color with the rest of the set.
Can oil stains on the garage floor be removed?
No. Stains and debris in the frame stay in the finished photo, so sweep and clean on site.
Should the garage door be open or closed?
Either works. Open brings in daylight but adds a bright opening; closed is darker but even. Use one choice for all garage views.
Can the cars be taken out of the garage photo?
No. Move them before you shoot if the agent wants the bays empty.
Are exterior garage views part of the same property?
Yes. Upload the garage exterior with the other outside views, inside the same 50 photo property.
How much does a property cost?
One property of up to 50 photos, garage included, is $29 one-time for one property, or one plan credit.
