HOME GYM PHOTOS

Home gym photos with readable equipment and honest color

Home gyms are often in a basement, garage or spare room, and they bring an unusual mix of surfaces: a wall of mirrors that doubles the room and reflects the camera, black rubber flooring that swallows light, dark equipment, and bright LED panels or shop lights overhead that are often much cooler than the lights in the rest of the house. NovaHDR finishes the gym with the rest of the property, so the equipment and floor keep their shape, the mirrors stay controlled and the room's color sits naturally beside the other rooms.

Equipment, mirrors and flooring stay as photographed: the finish is exposure and color.

One property covers up to 50 photos.

How to send a home gym

  1. 01

    Export the gym views

One wide frame from the doorway or a corner usually shows the floor area and the equipment; add a second view if there is a mirror wall or a sauna. Export as JPEG, PNG or WebP, merging brackets in your own software first if you shoot them.

  2. 02

Add it to the property upload

Name the property and upload the gym with the basement or garage it is part of, up to 50 photos. Finished in one set, the gym's walls and flooring agree with the spaces around it.

  3. 03

    Send, wait and review

Choose One Property or a plan credit and send the property. Expect the finished photos 24 to 72 hours after you send the property, for your final check.

Home gym capture notes

Mirrors and dark floors are the two challenges in a gym. These habits help with both.

Find the angle the mirrors cannot see

Shoot at an angle to the mirror wall, or from right beside it, so the reflection shows equipment rather than the tripod.

Rack the weights

Dumbbells, plates and bands on the floor look like clutter. Put them on their racks before you shoot.

Switch off clashing lights

If the gym has cool LED panels and a warm lamp, turn one off so the room has a single light color.

Expose for the dark floor

Black rubber matting absorbs light. Make sure the source shows the floor texture rather than a black mass.

Show the ceiling height

Ceiling height matters for lifting and jumping. A level camera at a moderate height shows how tall the room is.

Include the extras

A sauna, cold plunge or bathroom attached to the gym is a feature. Give it its own frame.

What makes home gyms hard to photograph

Mirror walls

A full wall of mirrors reflects the camera and doubles the light sources, so camera position has to be planned.

Black rubber floors

Rubber matting and dark equipment absorb light and can lose all texture in a dim frame.

Cool overhead lighting

LED panels and shop lights in gyms are often much cooler than the warm bulbs in the living areas.

Often below ground or in the garage

Many home gyms are in basements or converted garages with little daylight.

Matched to the rest of the house

NovaHDR finishes the property as a set, so the gym's color fits with the rooms around it.

Detail must be captured

A floor that is completely black in the source cannot gain texture, so expose for it on site.

What does finishing a home gym photo mean?

Finishing a home gym photo is the exposure and color pass that keeps dark floors and equipment readable, controls bright mirrors and LED panels and brings the room in line with the rest of the house. NovaHDR does that for the whole property in one pass, so the gym looks like a room in the same home.

It is not equipment staging: machines are not added, the mirror reflection is not cleaned up and nothing is moved.

Home gym photo questions

Can my reflection be removed from the gym mirrors?

No. Whatever the mirror shows in the source stays in the finished photo, so choose an angle where the mirrors reflect the equipment.

Why does my home gym look blue compared with the rest of the house?

Gym LED panels and shop lights are often cooler than household bulbs. Finishing balances color across the set so the gym fits with the other rooms.

Can the black rubber floor show more texture?

If the texture is in the source, yes. A floor that is pure black in the photograph cannot gain detail.

Should I photograph the gym equipment at all if it is not included in the sale?

That is a question for the agent. NovaHDR finishes what you upload and does not add or remove equipment.

Can one property include the gym, garage and the main house?

Yes. A property holds up to 50 photos across every space you shoot.

What does the Pro plan cost for a house with a gym?

$199 per month, 15 property credits. Each property, gym included, uses one credit for up to 50 photos.
