SOFTWARE OR A FINISHED SET
Real estate photo editing software, or a finished set you only review
Real estate photo editing software gives you the controls: exposure, white balance, highlights, shadows, masks and presets, applied by you, frame by frame or in synced batches. The software is only as consistent as the time you put into it. NovaHDR works differently. You upload the property's photos in your browser, send the property, and receive the set back with balanced exposure and consistent color from room to room 24 to 72 hours after you send the property, ready for your final review. Your capture and merge tools stay exactly where they are.
Keep the software you shoot and merge with. Hand off the last exposure and color pass for the whole property.
What real estate photo editing software is
Real estate photo editing software is any desktop or mobile application a photographer uses to adjust listing photographs after the shoot. In practice that means a raw processor and catalog such as Lightroom Classic or Capture One, a pixel editor such as Photoshop for masking and compositing, and sometimes a dedicated bracket merging tool. The software does not decide anything; it gives you sliders, brushes and sync commands, and the look of the listing depends on how carefully you apply them across thirty or forty rooms.
You install nothing: NovaHDR runs in your browser at app.novahdr.com and does not replace the tools you capture, merge or publish with. It is a property photo editing service you reach in the browser: you send finished source images for a property and get the set back with the exposure and color pass done.
Where the hours go in a software-only workflow
| Stage | In editing software | With NovaHDR |
|---|---|---|
| Import and cull | You import, rate and pick the frames for each view | Same: you choose which photos to send |
| Merge brackets | You merge in your merge tool or raw processor | Same: merge and export first; NovaHDR starts from the merged image |
| Exposure and window balance | You adjust each frame, often with masks | NovaHDR balances exposure across the set |
| Room to room color | You match white balance and tint across rooms by eye or by sync | NovaHDR returns coherent color from room to room |
| Final check | You review every frame | You review the finished set before client delivery |
| Export and delivery | You export and deliver | You download, check and deliver as you do today |
Choosing between more software and a finished set
If your bottleneck is a missing capability, such as merging brackets, blending flash frames or removing a distracting object, more or better software is the answer. Those jobs need hands-on tools, and they stay in your workflow.
If your bottleneck is time spent repeating the same corrections across a house, a new application rarely helps. Every editor still asks you to decide each room's exposure and color, and the decisions are the slow part. That is the case for handing off the last pass for the whole set.
A simple test: count how long the matching takes on your next listing, from the moment the frames are merged to the moment every room looks like the same home. If that number is most of your editing time, the finishing pass is what to hand off.
How NovaHDR fits next to the tools you already use
- 01
Finish what your software is best at
Cull, merge brackets if you shoot them, and do any geometry or retouching work you normally do. Export one JPEG, PNG or WebP image per view.
- 02
Create the property and upload
Name the property and upload up to 50 photos in your browser, up to 50 MiB each and 2 GiB in total.
- 03
Choose One Property or a plan, then send
Pay for the property or use a plan credit, then send the property for editing. Uploading alone does not start the job.
- 04
Review the finished set
The finished photos arrive 24 to 72 hours after you send the property. Check them as you would your own edit, then deliver to your client.
What NovaHDR takes off your desk
The set is the unit of work
Exposure and color are finished across the property as a whole, so the kitchen and the bedroom read as the same listing.
A natural look
Open enough that a buyer can read the room, never so bright that it stops looking real. The room stays the room.
Your tools stay in place
NovaHDR does not replace capture, merge or publishing software. It takes the last exposure and color pass.
Common file types
Upload JPEG, PNG or WebP files, up to 50 photos per property.
A clear handoff
You decide when a property is ready and send it; finished photos come back 24 to 72 hours after you send the property.
You keep the final say
The photographer reviews the set before it goes to the client or the listing.
What stays in your software
Raw development and bracket merging
NovaHDR accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP only. Raw files, TIFF files and bracket sets stay in your raw processor or merge tool.
Retouching and compositing
Object removal, sky work, staging and similar edits are not part of NovaHDR. Keep doing them in Photoshop or with the service you use for them.
Geometry
Straightening and other geometry fixes stay in your own software before export.
Lost detail
A window that is completely white in every source cannot be recovered. Choose the frame that holds the most window detail when you export.
Questions about real estate photo editing software
Is NovaHDR real estate photo editing software I install?
No. NovaHDR runs in the browser at app.novahdr.com. You upload a property's photos there, send the property, and download the finished set. Nothing replaces the editing software on your computer.
Do I still need Lightroom or Photoshop?
Most photographers keep them. You may still cull, merge, straighten or retouch in your own software before export. NovaHDR takes the exposure and color pass for the set, so the part you hand off is the repetitive matching across rooms. See Lightroom real estate editing and Photoshop real estate editing.
Which files does NovaHDR accept?
Exported JPEG, PNG or WebP images. A single photo can be as large as 50 MiB, and one property can hold 2 GiB. Unmerged brackets, raw and TIFF files stay on your computer.
What does it cost compared with a software subscription?
One Property is $29 one-time for one property, covering up to 50 photos, and monthly plans give you property credits. Unlike a software license, you pay per property you send, not for the tool.
How long does a property take?
Expect the finished set 24 to 72 hours after you send the property. Uploading or paying does not start the clock; sending the property does.
Can I batch edit with presets instead?
You can, and many photographers do. Presets apply the same settings to every frame, while rooms with different light need different corrections. That gap is why sets drift. Read real estate Lightroom presets and batch editing real estate photos.
Does NovaHDR change what is in the room?
No. The work is exposure and color. No rooms, objects or window detail are added, and the goal is a natural-looking property, not a redesigned room.
What is the best real estate photo editing software?
It depends on the job. A raw processor covers development and merging, a pixel editor covers blending and retouching, and a dedicated merge tool suits heavy bracket shooters. For ranked options, see the comparison pages linked from the real estate photo guides.
