GOOGLE PIXEL PHOTOS
Google Pixel real estate photos, from HDR+ to a finished set
Google Pixel phones are a common choice for agents who shoot their own listings, mainly because HDR+ blends several frames into every shot and handles bright windows better than older phones. That processing happens per photo, though, so color and brightness drift between rooms, and the main camera's default view is too tight for small spaces. Pixels save JPEG by default, which suits upload. NovaHDR finishes the Pixel photos you upload as one property, with balanced exposure and consistent color from room to room.
NovaHDR has no Pixel mode: your exported JPEG, PNG or WebP photos are finished like any other source.
One property covers up to 50 photos.

From Pixel camera to finished property
- 01
Choose one JPEG per view
Pixels save JPEG by default, so pick the best frame per view. If you enabled RAW + JPEG, upload the JPEG, or export the DNG to JPEG in your own editor; DNG files are not accepted. If you bracket with a third-party camera app, blend the frames in your own software first, since bracket sets are not accepted either.
- 02
Upload the home as one property
Move the photos to your computer, name the property in NovaHDR and upload up to 50, interiors and exteriors together.
- 03
Send it, then review
Choose One Property or a plan credit and send the property; uploading alone does not start it. The finished set arrives 24 to 72 hours after you send the property, for your review.
Pixel capture habits for listings
These are common habits for Pixel owners shooting listings. They are part of your capture workflow, not NovaHDR's.
Use the ultra wide in small rooms
Switch to 0.5x for bathrooms and bedrooms; keep the phone level to avoid stretched edges.
Set white balance with Pro controls
On Pixel Pro models with Pro controls, set a fixed white balance for the whole house so HDR+ does not tint each room differently.
Use a tripod and the timer
A phone clamp and a short timer keep dim rooms sharp; Night Sight on a tripod handles basements and closets.
Keep generative edits off listing photos
Tools like Magic Editor can change what a room looks like. For listings, keep the photo honest to the property.
Turn off Top Shot or motion
Motion photos add extra data; turning them off keeps exports simple.
Lock exposure near windows
Tap a wall and lower brightness until windows keep some detail.
What to know about Pixel photos for listing work
HDR+ per frame
HDR+ blends several exposures into each photo, but each photo is tuned on its own.
JPEG by default
Pixels save JPEG unless the raw option is switched on, and even then a JPEG is saved alongside the DNG, which suits upload.
Ultra wide lens
Most recent Pixels have an ultra wide camera for small rooms.
Pro controls on Pro models
Recent Pixel Pro phones offer manual white balance, shutter and ISO.
Finished as one property
NovaHDR finishes the uploaded property as a whole, with balanced exposure and consistent color, and a natural look.
Honest photos
Only upload photos you have permission to use, and do not use edits to misrepresent a property.
Pixel settings for listing photos
| Setting | Common choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Lens | 0.5x for small rooms | Fits the room |
| White balance | Fixed with Pro controls | Rooms start matched |
| Format | JPEG | Accepted for upload |
| Night Sight | On a tripod | Dim rooms |
| Generative edits | Off | Honest listings |
What does finishing Google Pixel real estate photos mean?
Finishing Pixel real estate photos is the property-wide exposure and color pass on the JPEGs you upload. The phone has already blended exposures inside each frame with HDR+; finishing works across frames, so a sunny kitchen and a shaded bedroom read as one natural, consistent home, and you still review the set before it reaches the agent or the listing.
It is not a phone mode or a generative edit; nothing in the rooms is added or changed.
Google Pixel real estate questions
Is a Google Pixel good for real estate photography?
For many listings, yes, especially bright, mid-sized homes. Use the ultra wide carefully, a tripod in dim rooms and a fixed white balance where available.
Can I upload Pixel RAW files?
No. Upload the Pixel JPEGs, or convert DNGs to JPEG first.
Should I use Magic Editor on listing photos?
It is better not to. Edits that change a property's features can misrepresent it.
Does NovaHDR handle Pixel photos differently?
No. There is no phone-specific handling; Pixel JPEGs are finished like any other source.
Can finishing fix a Pixel photo with a white window?
No. Detail the Pixel did not capture cannot be recovered. Tap the wall, slide brightness down until the view outside shows, and reshoot that angle before you leave.
What does a Pixel-shot listing cost to finish?
A Pixel listing of up to 50 photos is one property at $29 one-time for one property.
