iPhone 15 Pro real estate photos: settings, export and finishing

The iPhone 15 Pro, from 2023, is now the phone a lot of agents and second shooters carry into listings, often bought used or kept from an upgrade cycle. It brought USB-C and the Action button to the Pro line, and its main camera can frame at 24, 28 or 35mm equivalents, but it still uses the older Photographic Styles and still processes each frame on its own, so color drifts from room to room. NovaHDR finishes the exported photos as one property, with balanced exposure and consistent color across every room.

An iPhone 15 Pro file is treated like any other JPEG, PNG or WebP source; there is no setting for the phone itself.

One property covers up to 50 photos.

Getting iPhone 15 Pro photos ready to send

  1. 01

    Pull the files over USB-C

The 15 Pro was the first Pro iPhone with USB-C, and with a USB 3 cable a whole shoot moves to a laptop quickly. Export each chosen view as a JPEG; HEIC files and ProRAW DNGs are not accepted.

  2. 02

    Build the property in NovaHDR

Name the listing and upload the views you will deliver, up to 50 per property. Put the outdoor shots in with the interiors, because the set is finished together.

  3. 03

Send it and review the result

Use One Property or a credit, then send the property, since an upload on its own waits for you. Expect the set back 24 to 72 hours after you send the property, with the last look before delivery staying yours.

iPhone 15 Pro habits for interiors and exteriors

Small choices on a 15 Pro make the biggest difference in the source files. These come from how phone shooters work a listing.

Map the Action button to Camera

Set the Action button to open Camera so you can start shooting with the phone already on the clamp, then fire with the timer so the press does not shake the frame.

Use 24mm, not 28 or 35, for rooms

The main lens defaults to a 24mm equivalent; the 28 and 35mm options look natural for details and fireplaces but crop too tightly for most rooms. Switch to 0.5x only for small spaces.

Pick 3x for exteriors from the street

The 15 Pro telephoto is 3x (the 15 Pro Max has 5x). A few steps back and 3x flattens the facade nicely without leaning walls.

Stay on the Standard Style

The 15 Pro uses the earlier fixed Styles such as Warm, Cool and Rich Contrast, applied at capture. Leave it on Standard so nothing is baked into the photo.

Lock exposure low near windows

Hold AE/AF Lock on a wall and pull brightness down a step or two in rooms with big glass; the 15 Pro will brighten the room itself as it blends.

What to know about the iPhone 15 Pro for listing work

Three framing steps on the main lens

The 15 Pro lets you choose 24, 28 or 35mm equivalents from the main camera, which is handy for detail shots but too tight for whole rooms.

Styles are baked in

Before the iPhone 16 generation, Photographic Styles applied at capture, so a warm style on one room and standard on the next cannot be matched later from the phone.

HEIC is still the default

Like other recent iPhones, the 15 Pro saves HEIC until Formats is set to Most Compatible.

Tight rooms still need care

The ultra wide is a lower-light weak spot on this generation, so dim bathrooms and closets benefit from a tripod and lights switched on.

One finished set

NovaHDR finishes the whole upload with balanced exposure and consistent color, with a natural look that keeps the home recognizable.

What it does not change

Exposure and color only. Clutter, reflections and the view through the window stay as photographed.

What does finishing iPhone 15 Pro photos mean?

Finishing iPhone 15 Pro photos is the pass after export: bringing the rooms into one exposure and color balance so a gallery shot on the phone reads as one property. The 15 Pro has already blended exposures inside each frame, so NovaHDR works from that single image per view and evens out the differences between frames.

It does not swap the room's furniture, the view outside or the sky; it also does not convert HEIC or DNG files for you.

iPhone 15 Pro real estate questions

Is the iPhone 15 Pro still good for real estate photos in 2026?

Yes for many homes, particularly bright ones. Its limits show in dark rooms and with the ultra wide in low light, where a tripod and lights on matter most.

Should I use the 15 Pro's 28mm or 35mm setting for rooms?

Usually not. Those focal lengths suit details; whole rooms need the 24mm default or the 0.5x ultra wide in tight spaces.

Can I change a Photographic Style after shooting on the 15 Pro?

Not on this model. The 15 Pro applies the older Styles at capture, so pick Standard before the shoot to keep every room on the same footing.

Which iPhone 15 Pro files can I upload?

Exported JPEGs work, as do PNG and WebP. HEIC and ProRAW DNG files need converting first, and bracketed frames from a camera app need blending in your own software.

Will NovaHDR fix a window the 15 Pro burned out?

No. If the source shows a white rectangle, the finished photo does too. Lock exposure lower on site and reshoot that view.

How much is it to finish a 15 Pro shoot?

A property of up to 50 photos costs $29 one-time for one property as a one-off, or one credit on a plan.
