IPHONE 17 PRO
iPhone 17 Pro real estate photos, from the newest Pro phone to a finished set
The iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max arrived in 2025 and are what many agents and newer photographers now buy specifically to shoot listings. Apple brought all three rear cameras up to the same higher-detail class, so the ultra wide, main and telephoto files match more closely than on earlier Pros, but the phone still makes its own exposure and white balance call on every frame. NovaHDR finishes the exported photos as one property, balancing exposure and keeping color consistent so the gallery reads as one home.
A newer phone does not get special treatment: the 17 Pro's exports are finished exactly like any other JPEG, PNG or WebP.
One property covers up to 50 photos.

Preparing iPhone 17 Pro photos for NovaHDR
- 01
Trim, then export JPEGs
Higher-detail files from all three lenses add up fast. Choose one frame per view, export it as JPEG, and keep each file under 50 MiB; ProRAW DNGs and HEIC files are not accepted.
- 02
Upload the property in one go
Name the listing and upload up to 50 views, interiors and exteriors together, staying inside 2 GiB for the whole property.
- 03
Send when the set is complete
Use One Property, a plan or a credit, then send the property for editing. The finished photos come back 24 to 72 hours after you send the property, and you approve them before your client does.
Shooting a listing on the iPhone 17 Pro
The 17 Pro removes some old phone compromises but not all of them. These habits keep its files consistent from room to room.
Treat the three lenses as one kit
With matching detail across lenses, you can mix 0.5x rooms, 1x living spaces and telephoto details more freely than on older phones. Keep white balance habits the same on all three.
Fire remotely on the clamp
Camera Control carries over from the 16 Pro, and pressing it on a tripod still shakes the phone. Use the timer, a remote or a paired Apple Watch.
Watch the brightness slider
The 17 Pro brightens dark rooms aggressively. Lock exposure on a wall and pull it down until the window frames still show detail outside.
Keep Styles neutral for clients
Editable Styles tempt a signature look. For a listing, keep one neutral Style across the shoot so the set starts consistent.
Check heat on long summer shoots
A phone left in direct sun on a tripod for exteriors can dim its screen to protect itself. Shade it between frames so you can still judge exposure.
What the iPhone 17 Pro changes, and what it does not
Matched rear cameras
Apple moved the 17 Pro ultra wide, main and telephoto to the same higher-detail sensor class, so a gallery mixing lenses looks more even in detail.
Bigger files
Higher-detail captures and ProRAW in particular produce large files, which is why exporting one JPEG per view matters.
Each frame still decides for itself
Smart HDR and white balance run per photo, so color can still drift between a sunny room and a shaded one.
Detail must be captured
A completely white window or blocked shadow cannot be recovered in finishing. Send the best frame for each view.
Finished as a set
NovaHDR finishes the property as a whole, with balanced exposure and consistent color, not as separate edits.
Your capture, your review
Lens choice, Styles and tripod habits stay yours, and so does the final review before the photos reach a client.
iPhone 17 Pro lenses and settings for a listing
| Lens or setting | Where it helps | What to send |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5x ultra wide | Bathrooms, closets, small bedrooms | Level frames from the doorway or corner |
| 1x main | Living spaces, kitchens, primary suite | A JPEG per angle with exposure locked |
| Telephoto | Facade details, view from a balcony | One sharp frame per detail |
| Camera Control | Quick handheld shots | Tripod frames fired remotely |
| ProRAW | Your own editing latitude | A JPEG export, never the DNG |
What does finishing iPhone 17 Pro listing photos involve?
Finishing iPhone 17 Pro listing photos is the property-wide exposure and color pass on the JPEGs you export. The phone has already done strong processing inside each frame; the finishing works across frames so the rooms share the same brightness and color, with a natural look that keeps the home's character.
It is not a new camera feature, and it does not add furniture, light or views that were not in the photo.
iPhone 17 Pro real estate questions
Is the iPhone 17 Pro worth buying just for real estate photos?
If you mostly shoot bright, mid-sized homes, it can carry a listing on its own with a tripod. For large, dark or very contrasty homes, a dedicated camera with bracketing still gives more control.
Does it matter which 17 Pro lens I use for each room?
Less than on older Pros, since the three lenses are closer in detail. Pick the lens that frames the room without stretching edges, then keep exposure habits the same.
Are 17 Pro ProRAW files accepted?
No. Convert each DNG to a JPEG in your own software first. NovaHDR takes JPEG, PNG and WebP only.
Will NovaHDR undo a warm Style I used on the 17 Pro?
Finishing balances color across the set, but a heavy Style baked into some photos and not others makes that harder. Reset the Styles to match before you export.
Can NovaHDR recover a window my 17 Pro clipped?
No. Detail that is not in the photograph cannot be brought back. Lower the exposure on site, or bracket and blend in your own software first.
What does it cost to finish a 17 Pro listing?
One property, up to 50 photos, is $29 one-time for one property, or one credit on a monthly plan.
