How we compared
An app, for this ranking, is anything you open in a browser or on a phone to send property photos for editing and get them back, with nothing to install on an editing computer. That covers browser editors, platforms with mobile apps, and services that run through a web dashboard. Desktop programs are ranked separately.
NovaHDR wrote this ranking and is one of the apps in it. Competitor facts come only from each vendor's public pages, read on October 12, 2026, except Imagen for Real Estate, read from an archived copy dated August 26, 2026. We did not install or test the other apps.
The criteria favor what matters between shoots: getting files in without fuss, the range of fixes available, how pricing scales with a listing, and whether the app suits a photographer who edits on the move.

Fotello
Fotello is the only app here that pairs its web app with a mobile app and lists API access on every plan. It is a whole real estate media platform: booking, editing, delivery and payment. Uploads can be any photo type including RAW, and exports come in web, print or original sizes. Pay as you go editing is $0.50 a photo, and a free plan edits up to 30 photos per listing with Fotello branding and view-only edited downloads. Monthly plans bill on 75 listings, which suits busy teams more than occasional shooters.
- Web app and mobile app
- API on every plan
- All photo types including RAW
- Free plan with branding
- Monthly plans billed on 75 listings
- Free plan edits are view only on download
- Platform scope may be more than an editor needs
Price: $0.50 per photo pay as you go (USD) (checked 2026-10-12)
Autoenhance.ai
Autoenhance.ai is a web app and an API built around dragging a full property shoot in at once. It says it detects brackets, interiors and exteriors itself, merges up to 9 brackets per image, and lists window pulls, sky replacement, color correction, perspective correction and camera removal. It accepts most formats including RAW and TIFF. You are charged one credit only when you download a final image, and a free trial gives watermarked results without a card. Its pricing figures did not load when checked.
- Whole-shoot drag and drop
- Up to 9 brackets per image
- Pay per downloaded image
- Watermarked free trial
- Prices did not render on the check date
- Credits expire after two months
- No mobile app listed
Price: 1 credit per downloaded image; price values did not load (checked 2026-10-12)
NovaHDR
NovaHDR runs in the browser at app.novahdr.com. Sign up with Google or email, name the property, upload up to 50 JPEG, PNG or WebP photos and send the property for editing; saved uploads stay there if you need to stop and come back. The finished set returns in 24 to 72 hours after you send the property, with balanced exposure and consistent color from room to room, for your own final review. It has one job and a per-property price, which keeps a 40-photo listing as simple to budget as a 10-photo one.
- Browser app with Google or email sign-up
- Saved uploads if you stop midway
- Per-property price covering up to 50 photos
- The set is finished as a whole for consistency
- No mobile app and no cloud-storage import described
- Exposure and color only: no merging, skies, staging or perspective
- JPEG, PNG and WebP only
- Slower than apps that edit on upload
Price: $29 one-time for one property; Studio $399 per month, 40 property credits (checked 2026-10-12)
AutoHDR
AutoHDR is an online editor with a long tool list, from sky replacement and grass to virtual staging, twilight, fireplace fire and TV screens, plus bulk editing. Files come in by drag and drop, Dropbox or Google Drive, and it lists integrations with Spiro, HDPhotoHub, Tonomo and Aryeo. You pay for downloaded photos, with a free plan of 10 a month and a Standard plan of 500 a month at $265.00. The homepage warns that its current interface will sunset soon and links to a new one, so expect change.
- Many add-on tools
- Dropbox and Google Drive imports
- Integrations with photography business platforms
- Free plan of 10 photos a month
- Current interface marked to sunset soon
- Inputs and formats not stated
- No turnaround stated
Price: $265.00 a month for 500 photos; free 10 photos a month (checked 2026-10-12)
BoxBrownie
BoxBrownie works through its website, a mobile app called SnapSnapSnap and an API. Behind the app is a human-edited service: image enhancement at $2.00 an image, plus staging, dusk, item removal and floor plans. That makes it the app to choose when agents or assistants order edits from a phone and need more than exposure work. New accounts get 3 image enhancements and 1 dusk edit free, per BoxBrownie.
- Website, mobile app and API
- Human-edited service behind the app
- Full list of marketing edits
- Free starter edits for new accounts
- Per-image pricing
- More marketing platform than editing app
- Standard edits listed at 24 hours, not instant
Price: $2.00 per image, Image Enhancement (USD) (checked 2026-10-12)
Phixer
Phixer runs through a web dashboard, with Dropbox import on its Advanced and Professional plans and API access on Enterprise. The dashboard fronts five editing tiers from $0.35 to $3 a photo and monthly plans from $29. New accounts receive $30 of free editing and no subscription is needed to start. It ranks last here only because it is a service with a dashboard rather than an app with its own tools.
- Web dashboard
- Dropbox import on higher plans
- Five tiers from $0.35 a photo
- $30 of free editing for new accounts
- Dropbox and API only on higher plans
- No mobile app listed
- Tier choice needed per order
Price: From $0.35 to $3 per photo; plans from $29 a month (checked 2026-10-12)
Considered, not ranked
- Lightroom (mobile and web): Adobe lists Lightroom on desktop, mobile and web, but its pages read describe HDR merge only for Lightroom Classic on the desktop, so it is ranked with desktop software instead.
- Photomatix Real Estate Camera: An iPhone app for taking real estate pictures rather than editing a photographer's shoot.
- Evoto: A cloud photo editor with mobile and iPad apps, but aimed at portrait work; its homepage does not mention real estate.

What to look for in a real estate photo editing app
Check how files get in
Uploading 40 large files over a hotel connection is the slowest part of many app workflows. Cloud imports from Dropbox or Google Drive, or saved uploads you can resume, matter more than they look on a feature list.
Decide whether you need a phone app
Most photographers edit at a desk, but agents and assistants often order from a phone. If someone else places orders, a mobile app like Fotello's or BoxBrownie's helps; if you do, a browser app is enough.
Price a full listing
Per-photo pricing looks small until you multiply it by a 40-photo property, add-ons and re-edits. Per-property pricing caps the cost of a listing up to its photo limit.
Watch for interface churn
Apps change fast. AutoHDR's homepage already flags its current interface to sunset. Learn the export and download steps again after any big change before a deadline depends on them.
Keep originals outside the app
Treat any app as a workspace, not an archive. Keep your source files and finished exports in your own storage.
Review the set before the agent sees it
Whatever app you use, look through the whole listing in order before delivery. Room-to-room consistency is easiest to judge as a sequence, not one photo at a time.
